Follow-Up Report on, “AN ELEGANTE AFFAIR”, our first annual High Tea

Our Tea was truly elegant.

The decorations in a black and white theme were gorgeous.

There was a lovely fashion show owing to Kelli's Gifts and Florist, Tropical Island Wear, Lake Placid Embroidery and the new Bridal Shop.

The menu was a traditional High Tea with crumpets, scones, savory tea sandwiches, melt-in-your-mouth meringues, chocolate-dipped strawberries and petit fours. There was even clotted cream! (Believe it or not, it is scrumptious!) If Queen Elizabeth and the other Royals could have attended, they would have felt right at home!

Entertainment was provided by Gary Filip, so there was some great music as background for a relaxed time to catch up with old friends. What a splendid afternoon!

Along with the promised hand-painted tea cup gift, several local merchants and members donated other door prizes! Our delighted guests made sure we knew they wanted to be able to attend a Second Annual Elegante Affair. We assured them they would be the first to know so they’d have plenty of time to buy their tickets.
